Hi Beth,

I'm an environmental social scientist from the University of Rome La
Sapienza, Italy and I'm interested in writing a review for GEP.

I am trained as an environmental economist and human geographer and I
currently work as a postdoc researcher in Rome. I am also affiliated with
the Laboratory for the Analysis of Socio-Ecological Systems in a Global
World (LASEG <http://ictaweb.uab.cat/linia_recerca.php?linia=30&area=2>)
research group at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology
(ICTA) in the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain.

My interests center on the use of market-based mechanisms for environmental
policy (especially climate change mitigation and development), and my
previous work has focused on payments for ecosystem services, forest carbon
offsetting and community-based natural resource management (especially in
China and Latin America). Recently I worked on an EU FP7 project called
TESS (Towards European Societal Sustainability
<http://www.tess-transition.eu>) about the role of community-based
initatives (e.g., urban gardens, DIY bike shops, etc) in leading the
so-called transition towards a low carbon society. I am currently working
on a project to analyze the socio-economic and environmental impacts of
shared mobility platforms in the sharing economy.

Thank you for your consideration.

Warm wishes,
Cary
