Best regards, Thijs Van de Graaf ---- PhD Opportunity in Energy Politics and Governance, Ghent University, Belgium Job description Applications are invited for a full-time, fully-funded PhD scholarship at the Ghent Institute for International Studies (GIIS), Department of Political Science, Ghent University. The envisaged starting date is January 2018. The successful candidate will carry out a research project on energy politics and governance under the supervision of Prof. dr. Thijs Van de Graaf. The project aims to contribute to our understanding of the governance and geopolitics of natural gas in Europe, in the wake of the fracking revolution and the 2014 Ukraine crisis. You will prepare a PhD on the subject and participate as a member in the activities of the GIIS research group (http://www.giis.ugent.be/) and the Department of Political Science (http://www.ugent.be/ps). The scholarship is offered for a period of two years, extendable for another two years after positive evaluation. You will be based at Ghent University (http://www.ugent.be)<http://www.ugent.be)/>.
