Subject: [AESS_LIST] Conference, Scholarships, Internships, and Fellowships
with Citizens Climate Lobby

Dear colleagues,

Here are some upcoming opportunities with Citizens' Climate Lobby for students
and nonstudents! Please share widely. We need your help to engage the younger
generation on climate change.

Scholarships for students to attend Citizens' Climate International Conference
and Lobby Day
June 10-12, 2018 in Washington DC
Join over 1,000 climate advocates this June in Washington DC at the Citizens'
Climate International Conference and Lobby
Day<https://citizensclimatelobby.org/2018-conference/>. This "life changing,
inspiring, and empowering" event features keynote speakers, training on climate
change communication, and the chance to meet with members of Congress and their
staff on Capitol Hill to talk about climate solutions. Please contact
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
for the student discount code. We are also offering the Diversity
Scholarship<http://cclusa.org/diversityscholarship> and Conservative
Scholarship<http://cclusa.org/conservativescholarship> for people of the global
majority and those who identify as politically conservative to attend the 2018
International Conference. Applicants can apply for $250 or $500 stipends,
depending on their anticipated travel expenses to this summer’s conference.
Scholarship applications are due April 15. Anyone who receives a scholarship
will also have their conference registration fee waived.

Advanced Climate Policy Bootcamp
June 6-8, 2018 American University
Advanced Climate Policy Camp will prepare climate advocates to answer the
complicated policy questions which sometimes arise while advocating for climate
solutions. Attendees will participate in either an international or domestic
track and will engage in an experience learning exercise to put their new
knowledge into action. Attendees will leave with an increased understanding of
the more technical aspects of greenhouse gas mitigation policy, an enhanced
ability to make strategic advocacy decisions, and the expertise to serve as a
resource for their local group of climate advocates. Scholarships are available
for undergraduate
students covering registration and lodging. Applications must be completed by
April 20, 2018. Visit the website for more details and to
register.<https://citizensclimatelobby.org/advanced-climate-policy-camp/>

Internships and Fellowships with Citizens' Climate Education
Summer 2018, Fall 2018
Do you want to do something about global warming? Are you passionate about
creating social change? Do you want to develop the skills to be an effective
leader, communicator, and organizer, no matter what professional field you
enter? Citizens’ Climate Education seeks students who want to be change makers
to join the #PutaPriceonIt campaign and activate young people on climate
change. With support from CCE staff and higher ed allies, interns and fellows
educate about carbon pricing, and organize peers and leaders in higher
education in supporting climate solutions in Congress. Those who apply by May
15 will start part time this June, and launch their campaign in the Fall. For
more information and to apply, go to
https://citizensclimatehighered.org/campus-leaders/

Thank you,

Clara

PS. We are working on the flyers for these opportunities and I will send
another email when those are available.
