In 2016, the Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment (FCEA) at American University's School of International Service convened a group of fourteen global governance experts to study the governance of solar radiation management (SRM) climate geoengineering options, and offer recommendations for policymakers and civil society.
This Academic Working Group on Climate Engineering Governance spent two years studying SRM and deliberating about the best way to govern it. Its report, Governing Solar Radiation Management, explains the need for governance and offers twelve essential, actionable recommendations for governing SRM research, and potential deployment. The report is available on the FCEA website: http://ceassessment.org/SRMreport/. Beyond those who have an interest in this topic as part of your climate research agendas, I think it might prove to be an interesting teaching resource on this emerging field of responses to climate change. wil [cid:[email protected]] Dr. Wil Burns Co-Executive Director, Institute for Carbon Removal Law & Policy & Professor of Research, School of International Service, American University 650.281.9126<tel:650.281.9126> | [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> | http://www.ceassessment.org<http://www.ceassessment.org/> | Skype: wil.burns<https://webapp.wisestamp.com/sig_iframe?origin=outlook&signature_id=4628507532722176&t=0.7800051230821168> | 2650 Haste St., Towle Hall #G07, Berkeley, CA 94720| View my research on my SSRN Author page: http://ssrn.com/author=240348 [https://s3.amazonaws.com/images.wisestamp.com/icons_32/linkedin.png]<http://www.linkedin.com/in/drburns/> [https://s3.amazonaws.com/images.wisestamp.com/icons_32/twitter.png] <http://twitter.com/wil_burns> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gep-ed" group.
