Great opportunity to share with the list, as many of us teach SD! And just a
reminder that AESS has a syllabus bank and always seeks everyone’s latest
syllabus! Wil

Subject: [gep-ed] SDG Research Project for Undergrads

Hi Everyone,

I am procrastinating on grading and started thinking about how to change up my
undergraduate Sustainable Development class for next semester. I have been
thinking about having students prepare a “research poster” (instead of a
traditional paper) about one of the goals. My university puts on an
undergraduate research conference every year, and I could time the deadline
with the conference, so the students could also participate in the conference
if they wished. I’m trying to explore alternative ways for them to do/share
research beyond the traditional essay.

I need to refine the topics however, and I was wondering if anyone out there
has an SDG undergrad assignment that they could share. My hope is this could
help students dive more deeply into a particular topic, but would be well
suited to an undergrad research poster.

You can reply to me directly and I will collect and share responses.

Thank you!
Shannon
