Colleagues- I'm pleased to announce publication of my latest article, "Environmental Determinants of Chinese Development Finance in Africa," in the Journal of Environment and Development. Continuing in the spirit of the excellent book Greening Aid, we conduct what we believe to be the first quantitative analysis of the relationship between environmental factors and aid allocation between developing countries. We find that Chinese development assistance grows commensurate with a country’s environmental performance, but only to a point.
