We’re pleased to announce that the highly successful workshop “Getting
Published” workshop will be offered again at the annual Conference of the
Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS) to be held at Florida
Central University from June 26-29, 2019. It will be led by Tony Rosenbaum and
Kim Smith.

The workshop provides participants an opportunity to receive helpful reviews
and editorial suggestions for their manuscripts from interdisciplinary journal
writers and editors. This year, we are expanding the workshop to include
participants at all stages of their careers, including early career scholars
and those new to interdisciplinary publishing.

The workshop will include:

Part I: Discussion of article preparation and review process by experienced
journal editors and writers;

Part II: Small group discussions of individual papers: Prospective
participants are invited to submit manuscripts in advance of the Workshop.
These participants will be divided into small groups consisting of 2-4 authors
and a Journal editor, who will review the paper before the workshop. During
Part II, these groups will convene, along with other workshop participants who
choose to observe, and discuss suggestions for revision or improvement.

Part III: The workshop will close with a final collective meeting to discuss
issues and ideas from the review sessions.

If you wish to submit a manuscript for review, please send it to Kim Smith
([email protected]) by Friday, May 31. (You may participate whether or not
you submit a paper to be reviewed.)

Cordially,
