I'm sending you this email to let you know of a Call for Papers (CfP) that might appeal to you and/or to academics in your network. It's for a special edition of the Journal of the Indian Ocean Region (JIOR) that I am editing, on the theme "Environmental Challenges in the Indian Ocean Region: Environmental Citizenship and Civil Society Responses". My main interest is in environmental citizenship [Environment and Citizenship <https://www.routledge.com/Environment-and-Citizenship/Cao/p/book/9780415637 800> ], but we have kept the themes open to allow for a range of contributions, provided they focus on what is going on in the Indian Ocean Region. If you are, I'd be delighted if you could contribute an article to this special edition. In any case, I'd be very grateful for any assistance you can provide with the dissemination of this CfP. I'd like to put together a solid issue, so I'm spending some time identifying and contacting scholars whose academic profile fits with this special issue.
