The hire will eventually be expected to play a leadership role in the Young Initiative Committee, including its rotating chair-ship. Priority will be given to applicants who have demonstrated a research agenda that leverages substantial fieldwork with international or regional organizations and/or transnational NGOs. An expectation will be that the hire will continue Occidental College’s engagement with on-the-ground work in international affairs, at the local/Los Angeles, transnational, and/or global levels.
