Dear colleagues: We are pleased to announce the publication of the open-access Public Administration Review's blog (Bully Pulpit) symposium on, <https://www.publicadministrationreview.com/the-green-new-deal-pathways-to-a-low-carbon-economy/>The Green New Deal: Pathways to a Low Carbon Economy<https://www.publicadministrationreview.com/the-green-new-deal-pathways-to-a-low-carbon-economy/> (https://www.publicadministrationreview.com/the-green-new-deal-pathways-to-a-low-carbon-economy/) This symposium features 26 commentaries (with women as authors or co-authors on 14) and an introductory essay. We had put out a call for submission<http://faculty.washington.edu/aseem/par-gnd.pdf> for commentaries (maximum 1,000 words) that examine various dimensions of the transition to the low carbon economy. These selected commentaries summarize existing research or report on new research. All commentaries are written in an accessible style; references, tables, and appendices are provided as links embedded in the text. Broadly, these commentaries distill lessons from across the world in designing and implementing climate policies. The authors, located across eight countries, bring vastly diverse perspectives. They reflect the wisdom of multiple disciplines, including business strategy, economics, energy, and environmental policy, geochemistry, geography, geology, philosophy, political science, psychology, public policy and administration, and sociology. This symposium should prove valuable to both academics and policy practitioners. It could be used for research as well as for teaching. We hope this PAR blog symposium will advance the policy discussion on the Green New Deal, and more broadly, on the challenges and opportunities as the world seeks to make a transition to a low carbon economy. <https://www.publicadministrationreview.com/>Public Administration Review (PAR)<https://www.publicadministrationreview.com/> is the flagship journal of the American Society for Public Administration with an Impact factor of 4.591.
