*Assistant Professorial Research Fellow (Environmental Governance)*

The Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at
LSE, in conjunction with the ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and
Policy, seeks to appoint an Assistant Professorial Research Fellow to play
a leadership role in its “Governance and Legislation” research area. The
successful candidate will make leading contributions to research and engage
actively with policy makers to become a thought-leader in the public debate
on environmental governance.

They will have a completed, or nearly completed PhD in Politics,
International Relations, Geography or a related discipline by the post
start date and have expertise and research interests in environmental
governance, with a particular focus on its comparative or global
dimensions.  They will also have a track-record or trajectory of
internationally excellent publications and excellent written and oral
communication skills, including an ability to place one’s specialist work
within a broader social science context.

*Salary is no less than £55,974 per annum (pay award pending) and the
salary scale can be found on the LSE website.*

*This is a fixed term appointment for 4 years, with the possibility to
extend (subject to funding).*

The successful candidate will have a completed, or be about to complete, a
Ph.D. in economics, environmental economics, energy economics or a related
discipline and a research focus on the economics of climate change. We are
particularly interested in candidates specialising in behavioural
economics, micro-econometrics or environmental macroeconomics.  Candidate
are also expected to have a track-record or trajectory of peer-reviewed
publications in high-ranking, internationally recognised academic journals
and excellent written and oral communication skills, including a good
command of spoken and written English.

*Salary is no less than £55,974 per annum (pay award pending) and the
salary scale can be found on the LSE website.*

*This is a fixed term appointment for 3 years with the possibility to
extend (subject to funding).*
