Hello All, The recent Tragedy-of-the-Commons dialogue initiated by Ron Mitchell has been wonderful to watch unfold. Many thanks to all of you who have contributed, and to those who've launched branched conversations.
As we proceed with these and other discussions, please recall the norms of this listserv, which spring from a recognition that most of us already receive way too much email. Operationally, that means at least two things for us: (i) when members specifically ask for ideas or feedback on a question or topic, we send replies to that member alone, who then compiles these replies and posts a summary to the list (ii) we balance our desire to publically thank a member for their contribution to the list against the knowledge that what makes gep-ed so valuable is its parsimony, suggesting that notes of appreciation and thanks are often best sent to the member alone I don't mean for this reminder to have a chilling effect; reach out to me privately, please, if you experience my comments in that way. I'm happy to field queries, sent privately to me, about our shared norms on gep-ed. Hoping this finds you well, Michael [cid:[email protected]] ________________________________ Important: This email is confidential and may be privileged.
