Colleagues:

We at UTRGV are conducting a search for three social scientists in a
cluster hire. One of these positions is open rank, meaning that we
anticipate that one will go to a tenured faculty member.

The successful candidates will teach and conduct research in at least one
of the following five broadly defined areas: (1) Environmental Justice, (2)
Systems Modelling of coupled human-natural systems, (3) Sustainable Energy,
(4) Natural Resource Economics, and (5) Environmental Data Science.

Here is the position listing with more details:
https://careers.utrgv.edu/postings/26568

DEADLINE: 1 JANUARY 2020

I coordinate the environmental sciences M.S. program at the department in
which these positions are based. We are hoping that these hires will enable
us to add more courses on human dimensions of the environmental sciences.

Please direct any questions to me at [email protected]

Yours truly,

Owen Temby, Associate Professor
School of Earth, Environmental, and Marine Sciences
The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley
