Dear colleagues,

A bit of shameless self-promotion: my new book "The Economisation of Climate
Change – How the G20, the OECD and the IMF Address Fossil Fuel Subsidies and
Climate Finance” is out in Open Access with Cambridge University Press, and can
be accessed here:

https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/economisation-of-climate-change/B0A4F8595A76B316C774850DD646B526#fndtn-information

The book explores how the G20, IMF, and OECD have addressed climate finance and
fossil fuel subsidies, what factors have shaped their specific approaches, and
the consequences of this economisation of climate change. Due to their central
roles in global governance, it is difficult to imagine a transition to a
low-carbon, climate resilient world in which they maintain their current power
and central roles and do not give serious consideration to climate change. This
book shows how they treated climate finance and fossil fuel subsidies as
important economic, rather than environmental issues, and that the concrete
shape of this economisation differed among the institutions.

Best regards,

Jakob Skovgaard
