Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce the publication of our special issue on ‘Private Authority and Public Policy Interactions in Global Context’ in Regulation & Governance. The SI examines the growing role of businesses, civil society groups, and governments in addressing environmental problems and asks: when do their efforts complement or compete with one another? And to what extent can we even separate ‘public’ from ‘private’ governance anymore?
