I would like to invite you to contribute to an upcoming special issue, ‘S.O.S. - Science for Ocean Sustainability’. This special issue seeks to publish papers on the ten Ocean Decade challenges, providing a reflection within the Earth System Governance perspective. I would be delighted if you would accept our invitation to develop an article for this issue. Manuscripts will be due by 25 October 2021. Additionally, Earth System Governance is currently waiving the article publishing charge for all papers published in this special issue. The Earth System Governance project’s latest research framework presents a number of themes relevant to this task, including Democracy & Power, Architecture & Agency, Justice & Allocation, Anticipation & Imagination, and Adaptiveness & Flexibility. With these research lenses in mind, this Special Issue seeks to attract previously unpublished work that addresses the challenges for ocean governance from an Earth System Governance perspective.
