the Al-Moumin Environmental Peacebuilding Award. The event will be at 12:30pm

The seventh Al-Moumin Award for Thought Leadership in Environmental 
Peacebuilding is presented to Ms. Patricia Gualinga of Ecuador for her 
longstanding leadership promoting Indigenous Peoples' rights, territorial 
protections, and environmental justice amidst extractive resource conflict.

 Ms. Gualinga will share insights from her environmental peacebuilding work 
with the Kichwa First People of Sarayaku in the Ecuadorian Amazon and a global 
network of environmental defenders. She will be joined by discussant Garrett 
Graddy-Lovelace, Associate Professor at American University's School of 
International Service.
