The position is responsible for broadening the participation and for enabling the success of historically excluded students in undergraduate programs offered through the Division of Natural Sciences. The Director will lead efforts and strategies for student success in areas that include recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and retention. The goal will be to attract, prepare and expand opportunities for first-generation college-bound youth, rural students, women, black, Indigenous and students of color (BIPOC), and students from low-income families through the development and provision of effective curriculum and support designed to enable the academic success of students in the Division of Natural Science. Among the listing of minimum requirements, we seek someone with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university and 5 years of job-related experience that includes working with historically excluded populations and responsibility for Justice, Equity, and Inclusion (JEDI) initiatives and programs. (Note: Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis) and someone with either a degree, work experience, or demonstrated interest in working with students in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, math).
