Dear list, At times of growing climatic turmoil and geopolitical rivalry, this public roundtable discusses two important publications of this summer: *Divided Environments: An International Political Ecology of Climate Change, Water and Security by Jan Selby, Gabrielle Daoust and Clemens Hoffmann (Cambridge University Press 2022) and **Simon Dalby’s Rethinking Environmental Security (Edward Elgar 2022). *The panelists debate how we can study the complex linkages between climate change, violent conflict, and insecurity and thus address a crucial question of our times: *What is security in an age of ecological devastation?*
