(Salary according to German Bundesangestelltentarifvertrag BAT IIa/2)

You will conduct a case study on Hungary for the project "Coping with
Accession" funded by the EU Sixth framework Programme for a time period
of three years. The project aims at a systematic comparison of the
Southern and Eastern enlargement process. The focus is on the role of so

adoption of and adaptation to EU policies in countries with weak state
capacities, and the extent to which these new modes lead to more
effective policy outcomes. You should have an above-average degree in
political or social sciences, as well as a very good command of the
English and the Hungarian language. Furthermore, you should have
profound knowledge of

    a) the political systems of the EU accession and the member
countries (Central and Eastern Europe) in general as well as
country-specific expertise on Hungary;

     b) EU environmental policy and/or another sector of EU Law.

Moreover, you ought to have a good overview of the governance and
compliance literature. Please send your application with the usual
