here at nyu we are gearing up to launch a new ug environmental studies 
major in fall 07.  one of the required courses will be a course 
on 'environment and society', meant to provide interdisciplinary social 
science perspectives on the environment and environmental questions.  
if anyone has any sample syllabi or suggestions for such a course, 
please send them my way.  also feel free to forward this request widely.
