I have no connection to this job; only that I think Davidson is a great place (as is its political science department):
Davidson College seeks applications for an Assistant Professor of Political Science beginning August, 2008. Emphasis will be on environmental politics. Teaching load is five courses per year and would include both a course in public policy and an interdisciplinary course in environmental studies. This position is intended to strengthen the colleges offerings in environmental studies, supporting a curricular option in that area. The initial appointment will be for three years. At end of that period, the College will review the appointment and likely conduct a national search for a permanent tenure-track position in the same field. Completed Ph. D. and a record of exemplary teaching are required.
