It also now clears the table view when there is no workspace.
This is important for the new features being developed in my branch.

Bug description:
For user, it is not very natural that after he clicks on Data Laboratory,
nothing is displayed. He must click on Edges/Nodes which is not very obvious.
Solution is to select Nodes as default.
