I would not give any lettuce. It is not very nutritious and is a
diuretic. I suspect that Iceberg is probably worse than the others.

Take both parents out and put them somewhere where they can play for a
few minutes. Whilst they are doing that, have a good look. Put the
parents back and they will probably not notice anything has gone on.
