Hello,
Also, I brought them (Minah&Henry) one of those see-through balls that they
can run around the room in. Minah loves it and goes crashing around the
house in it (under my strict supervision of course!) but when I put Henry
in it she tried to run but couldn't get the motion right and kept getting
her feet caught in the little gaps. I put her in it on a few more occasions
to see if she needed a little more time to get used to it, but she just
can't seem to run properly in it! Anyone have any ideas, or does it sound
familiar ? Thanks. Toni

Personally I don't like those balls. I have always thought they were
cruel. Did you know that in New Zealand they have created this new sport
called zorbing. A zorb is a like a giant hamster ball for humans. It is
supposed to be the most scariest thing that a human can experience. Even
worse than bungee jumping. Want to try it? I certainly don't. And I don't
think most of my animals do too.
What I have said does not apply to conventional wheels. I have nothing
against them apart from that most gerbils are not interested in them and
there are issues with trapping feet and tails. However, with a
conventional wheel, the animal itself is in control. It has the choice
whether or not to use the wheel. And when it has had enough it can get
off.
Cheers
Sue
