Toni has a Tiny address in the UK and over here I don't think anyone
would take offence with the expression used. I, and I am sure everyone
else in the UK, would interpret what was said as "to be spiteful,
malicious, or unfair to." Such a definition isn't in my copy of
Webster's so is probably not usual US usage. I was once taken to task
for making a similar complaint about another "B" word that is highly
offensive over here but is apparently a childish and affectionate
expression in the US.

We just have to get used to being separated by a common language!
