I also found out that Target stores carry the balls and food and aspen litter.  They have VERY reasonable prices on their pet stuff.  For example, a neon ball at PetsMart cost me $7.99 on sale, and the same ball cost $2.99 at Target, regular price!  :)  Go check it out, they also have ceramic food bowls and other fun things.

I made an interesting discovery at Wal-Mart this evening.  They carry a
brand of gerbil food called Amazon Smythe.  It turns out that this brand is
manufactured by Kaytee and the Amazon Smythe Gourmet food appears to be
identical to Kaytee Fiesta.  It is also cheaper (here anyway).  It was $3.97
for a 3 pound bag ($1.33/pound) as compared to $1.79/pound for Kaytee Fiesta
from the bulk bins at the cheapest pet store in town.  Those of you who have
Wal-Mart where you live might want to check it out.
