Hi Jessica,

I wouldn't recommend it unless you are willing risk fighting or
killing/eating of pups. It's very likely that you'll have to separate
them later.
About breeding:
Will you please consider the following things:
- will you be able to pay for more tanks if necessary and will you have
enough space?
- will you have enough money for vet bills which may occur. Can you get
to a vet in emergencies?
- how will you find GOOD homes for the pups if you can't keep them all?

My advice *before* you start breeding:
- stick with the list for some time (at least a few months) to learn
everything about pup raising and also genetics
- become a member of the National Gerbil Society (NGS) and maybe visit a
few shows so that you can get contacts to other breeders and people who
may be interested in buying your pups.

I personally think you shouldn't breed your gerbils at all if you can't
keep the offspring. You are responsible for your pups' future life.
