I stop being so cautious ;)
For my new start on breeding, I'm using carefresh bedding. Is this the
right stuff to use? I hear it's good, which is better, Carefresh or
Aspen?
They are both good. I find Carefresh will last longer between changes.
Would it hurt or be bad for a gerbil if I kept it on Ornacycline for a
long time after I start the new clan? I want to make sure there are no
lingering disease, and if so I want the correct medication to
fight/prevent it. Especially for all the gerbils first litters. Is it
okay to keep them on it for a while?
It would be better to use it after the first sign of illness, otherwise
a drug resistant illness might occur.
Are Saltine crackers okay for gerbils as an occasional treat? All I have
are the salty ones, and they don't seem to mind it. I rarely give it to
them, but sometimes I will. Is this alright?
Saltine crackers are fine. you can rub off some of the salt.
