Hi all, I have more information regarding the gerbil needing a home I posted about recently: It is an approximately 4 month old female black patched. The owner resides in Wisconsin, 45 minutes from the Illinois border. Her cage mate recently produced a litter of pups (both females were acquired about 2 weeks ago), so it is possible that she is pregnant. The owner reports that her nipples are fairly obvious, so I suspect that this is the case. She is described as fairly skittish, biting if held close, but not really aggressive if allowed to roam hands, etc. Basically she sounds like an average unhandled 4-month-old. The young lady who owns her has said that she would like to place her, but if this is impossible, she will hold on to her. Please contact me privately if you have suggestions or could give this animal a home.
