I've found that some females will not conceive if they are housed with
more than one male. (Of course this is not always the case.) When I had
Gracie sent to me, she was living with two males, and though mating had
been observed, no pups were forthcoming. When I separated out one of the
males, the couple mated within days and had pups in normal gestation. I
had two additional females that displayed the same pattern.

living in pet store tanks with multiple males.
