Another question

Hello listmembers
I have another question and I wonder if somebody could offer me some advice.
One of my 18 month old male gerbils has started to drink about twice as much
water as he used to.  There have been no other changes in him - he seems
perfectly fit and well and quite energetic.  He is a little bit overweight
(he weighs 5 oz/125g but he's a big gerbil anyway) and I wondered if there
might be a link between this and his drinking.
Any advice would be much appreciated,
