These are my gerbils:
Virginia (black pied) & Emmett (black)
Violet (grey agouti) & Errol (dove)
Endora (siamese) & Wee Mad Arthur (siamese)
Oswald (grey agouti spot), a young widower - his mate Ripley was a golden
agouti
Georgia (schimmel) & Austin (silver schimmel)
Greta (silver schimmel) & Noel (polar fox)
Vita (DEH spot) & Matthew (PEW)
I also bought 2 pairs of six week old schimmels from a guy not on the list,
but he sent me 8 gerbils: 5 schimmels (3f, 2m), 2f siamese, and 1m burmese.
They're in a 29 gal. tank right now, and they are SO totally adorable when
they're running around playing & exploring everything. =) When they get a
little older (they seem smaller than Virginia & Emmett were when I got them
at 4-5 weeks of age from the pet shop), I will see about finding other
homes for some of them. They're growing very quickly, though.
The worst gerbil mistake I've made was leaving the xmas tree stand full of
water after I had taken the tree out to the trash. I felt so bad when I
found that poor Ripley had drowned. I knew she was loose, but I thought she
would get water out of the dog bowl if she needed it, because it was in the
kitchen & I knew that was where she was hanging out.
