I have noticed that too. Of course I always wind up paying
extra attention to the runts either by hand feeding to
supplement nursing or administering medicine (seems like the
runts are always the sickly ones). I think they bond with
me faster that way. I always wind up keeping the runts,
partially for that reason, but also so I can be sure they
don't get bred.
