Hi Everyone!
Just thought I'd update you on our gerbils. After receiving very helpful
advice from Gary I have paired up our gerbils. I now have Clifford living
with his four pups in the large acquarium and Spikey living with her
daughter in another acquarium. I washed out the large tank and placed the
pups in and then Clifford in. Then got comfortable for two hours and
watched. He went from pup to pup sniffing them and rolling them over on
their backs. The pups were all over him, jumping on his back and chasing him
around the tank at first. One pup in particular got very pushy with him, so
he ended up holding him down for a few seconds. Once let go, the pup went on
to something else. He also tried to mount each of them I'm assuming to show
dominance. Last night I checked and the pups were sleeping at one end of the
tank and Clifford at the other. First thing this morning I peeked at them
and they were all curled up sleeping together. Happy ending!>or beginning!
