HI, Everyone. Let me start this note off by saying I woke up this morning
and all my gerbils were fine. when I come home from school today my grandma
said look at your gerbils I think one is dead I go in and with my Favorite
pair the REW female is just lying there. She is about 25-30 weeks old, was
living with her sister. They were the ones living in the all together (4 in
all in one cage) and I seperated them like 3 weeks ago. What I don't
understand is I took the 2 that seemed dominent away and left the 2 that were
less dominent together. I thought that this pair was the most docile. When
I removed the body the back feet were injured and there was blood. Was there
a fight? What could have caused it if there was one? and are there any
other ideas why she could have died? Is there anything I should be doing?
If there was a fight then should I try and pair the remaining gerbil up? I
don't have any now that I can pair up with her. I really don't know what to
do?
