hey everyone.. thanks so much for replying. in response to some of your
questions, yes, i've kept the same litter in the cage.. and i've been
switching the two gerbils several times a day. but the problem is that i
go to school during the day, and i get so worried about leaving them in the
same tank. i know that it's almost impossible for either of them to get
past the wire divider with the way that it is.. but it still worries me..
so sometimes i put them in separate cages while i'm at school. i know
that's not doing all that good.. but i have to build up enough nerve to
leave them together. they're left in there during the night, so it should
be ok.. i just don't want them to get hurt. also, there's not so much room
in the cage with it divided.. i have two of those dinky plastic kinds with
all the tubes and crap. i was planning on just connecting the two after if
they've gotten along for a while. i was wondering if maybe it would be
better if i kept them in an aquarium tank? well, if i don't get a tank,
i'll keep them in their present cage for another week to ten days, and try
to introduce them again. i really hope they get along.. i just want them
to be happy.. : ) it's just that darwin, the first gerbil, seems so
aggressive towards galileo, the new one. but.. hopefully it'll work out.
thanks so much for your replies.. you have no idea how much i appreciate
it. : )
