Hi list-
I just wanted to thank everyone who sent their sympathies on the passing
of Sappho and Athena. It helps knowing that there's others who know how it
feels. It's very strange only having 5 little mouths to feed. As soon as
spring break starts I'm going to try doing a split cage with Blake (gerbil
I recently adopted from a shelter) and Calantha (Sappho's cagemate) and see
how it goes. The people at the shelter didn't know how old Blake is, but
she's pretty small. Calantha is 1 year old.
For the time being I'm keeping Joan (Athena's sister/cagemate) on her own
and seeing how she does. It's not even been a week since we lost Athena, so
if she starts to seem lonely I may get her a new cagemate, although I'm not
sure she would accept one. Again, thank you to everyone.
