My two boys got into a hefty fight the other night, and have since been
separated. Shadow receieved not a scratch, but Patchy sustained some
rather serious injuries. It happenned overnight, and it appears he
hadn't been "allowed" to eat or drink for at least 24 hours. In addition
to dehydration (he took 3cc of water from a syringe) he has a patch of
hair missing just above the base of his tail. It is a spot about the
size of a US dime. We have been treating that with Neosprin topically,
and a small dosage of liquid antibiotics orally. In the past day or two,
the small scrath on his tail (about 1/2 inch below the big patch of
missing fur) has begun losing hair. He has now lost most of the hair
around that sratch as well. Alyssa (my gf) seems to believe that the
tail is infected, and she put Neosprin on that as well. Is there
anything else we should be doing? Please help!
