For those interested in birth announcements- We have 3 litters born in Febuary: gerbil lover's Nipper (agotui spot) and Digger (dehoney split for schimmel) had 2 babies born feb 7, a DEHoney split for ef and a Schimmel. I think they are both girls (and are avail). And we have from: MY Solstice (DEH from nipper & Digger) x Blizzard (REW from sir ivy (silver nutmeg) and houdini (slate burmese)) 3 babies 2 females which I think are going to be either Nutmegs or DE Honey and 1 black male. And we have from: a tobenamed little dove or saphire female who is from a petshop. She has 3 babies also- an Argente, and then two pale ones. One looks grey, so likely a dove or saphire like her and the other one looks off-white. Some of the males she was with are known to carry burmese, so I am wondering if I may have a siamese baby? I dont see any points on the baby but the baby is very tiny and the eyes are still closed. IF this is a siamese (crossing fingers) when will I see the point colour develop? If it is NOT a siamese, what else MIGHT it be? The males she was with are blacks that carry cb, e, g, p and one agouti male who as far as i know carries only black. Im especially happy about solstic's becuase this is their 1st litter and I will keep one of the babies (probably a DEH if one of the girls is) to keep for breeding to a to-be-born litter from another young couple who havent had any yet, but these will be workign towards Polar fox, grey agotui, etc. BTW, the other young couple is equinnox and midnight. Equi is a champagne, spotted Schimmel and midnights a slate. If I were to get a spotted baby from them and use that oen for breeding to the one I keep from solstice's litter, then theoretically i coudl get spotted slate schimmels (whcih I understand will appear Black eyed white) and spotted polar foxes.
