Well, as to the handling the gerbils, I try to handle
them as much as possible, but there never seems to be
enough hours in the day *sigh*... As to the hammies vs.
gerbies, the reason I like gerbils is that they are much
more interesting. Hamsters just seem to SIT there. I also
kind of think gerbils are more friendly. I must admit
I've never had hamsters, but my friends did and they
seemed rather mean. I like having the gerbils come up
when I put my hand in their cage. I've never seen a
hamster do that. Of course, gerbils would like nothing
better than to escape. For that, hamsters would be
better. Well, anyway, that's just my opinion.
