Lanie, if she were mine, and definitely if she were a cat, I would get her
to a vet. The gerbs may have been supposed to have been born, and her
contractions stopped too soon, & even though she doesn't seem ill now, when
a mammal gives birth, there is a great chance of bacterial infection of the
uterus, which I can't remember the name of just now because I haven't had
my coffee. I would really strongly recommend -- pyometra, that's what it's
called. I would really strongly recommend you get her to a vet. Just
because she doesn't look like she is about to die now from a massive
systemic infection, that doesn't mean she's perfectly ok. It is Not Good
for a mama who has litters to have just one and then stop.
I hope I'm worried for no reason. Best wishes.
