Hi, David,
What all is in black olives besides olives? I know they're high in sodium,
but maybe that's there naturally.
How tiny gerbils are was really brought to my attention when Julian
mentioned giving 2-3 sunflower seeds at a time to a gerbil as treats (I
think that's what he said.) I had been giving them about a tablespoon full.
That would still be a lot for even a small rabbit, but even netherland
dwarf rabbits are ~2 lbs. Gerbils are like 5 ounces.
So half an olive slice would be about the size of a piece of watermelon to
them. Half a peanut is a good sized baked potato to a little gerb. It seems
to me, just in my opinion, that IF you're going to feed them olives, just
feed a tiny little piece, because a tiny piece is a big piece to them.
