Hot water bottle (wrapped in towel if necessary) or a heated pad.
You should also have droppers of syringes for medication or to help
provide fluids.
More experienced keepers might want to try:
Long handled nail clippers because sometimes it is only when a gerbil
suddenly falls ill that it is apparent that there are teeth problems.
Sterile Saline and hypo for injecting fluids in an emergency.
