Last year I tried to ship some gerbils and my post office wouldn't let me.
They said their book says that small warm blooded animals such as hamsters,
mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs are not shippable. I pointed out to
them that 'gerbils' were not mentioned, but of course they said that since
gerbils are like hamsters, they would not ship them cause it against
regulations. Many people on the list are aware of this and ship them in
boxes labeled 'Geckos'.
I have not tried to ship since then, and as far as I'm concerned, I'm no
longer interested in shipping. I would worry way to much about the gerbils.
