I would stop handling the pups for a little while just leave the nest intact
when you clean the acquarium. Give mom some space and let her tend to her
pups, she just might not like them touched. Don't blame yourself it might be
her personality, but I would keep this in mind if you are going to breed her
again. I would also put in some cardboard tubes for her to chew on as well
as cat food for protein. Give extra soft tissue for bedding and watch the
pup, if it is suffering you may need a quick trip to the vet. Good
