I don't think anyone else has described this, but Jasmine "shivered"
periodically--stopped doing whatever else she was doing, got "focused", and
shivered slightly for several seconds. "Whatever else she was doing" was
usually frnatically running on the wheel, which I think helped distract her
between contractions. I took the wheel out once the babies started coming
because 1) Jasmine was running on it so much I think she was neglecting the
pup's nursing and warmth needs and 2) I worried that she would do what
several listers had described and take pups into the wheel, possibly
injuring them.
The wheel is still out, but I periodically open the door to the cage (it's a
Safari) and hold the wheel nearby. Jasmine climbs out the cage and into the
wheel to run for awhile--then jumps back in her cage.
