I'm sorry that my message doesn't help the one who posted.

I live in northern Illinois (on the border), and I have unplanned
gerbils.
Our first surprise litter was three.  We're keeping two, and one has a
new home lined up.

The second surprise litter was born this weekend.  We'll have six to
give away.

If anyone lives nearby, I'll drive to meet you.  But...the babies will
not be ready for 5-6 weeks.
