"In the Outlook Express, there is a format button on the top row of icons &
stuff.
There are 2 radio buttons, HTML text and Plain Text.
Make sure the Plain Text radio button is on."

What are you telling me that is different from the "plain text" on the menu
from the toolbar that I alluded to in my original message? (see next):

*"My toolbar is indicating "plain text" and has every time I have checked
(which
admittedly I do rarely). "*

Three people now have sent me the same instructions, which are no different
from what I had already told them I had done (or checked) on a few
occasions. Am I misunderstanding something here?

I still want to know when if ever I have sent HTML. I know I am making too
big a deal out of this, but in light of the pains I have gone to to avoid
using HTML, I would like to now where I might have messed up so I can learn.
No one has sent me an example of my sending HTML so far, although I have
been told I have.
