I spent today in Bristol with some Fat-Tailed Gerbils (Duprasi) having them filmed for episode two of a series being filmed for National Geographic. The working title for the series is "Africa" Look out for it in about six months. The intention was to film them under night-time lighting exploring a Tuareg campsite. Fat-tails are not the brightest gerbils and the "star" lost all the whiskers on one side when it decided to investigate the campfire! Whilst I was there they did some re-shoots from earlier in the week including a horned viper, which was OK, and some very nasty fat-tailed scorpions. We had to wear eye protection for these as they are one of the most venomous scorpion and can project venom several feet. Bristol Royal Infirmary had been stocked with anti-venom and we were all issued with instructions of how to tourniquet an envenomed limb! -- Julian ************************************************************************ * Jackie and Julian * * [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * National Gerbil Society * * http://www.gerbils.co.uk/ * ************************************************************************
